Being Away from Your Fur-Baby
Being Away from Your Fur-Baby
Does your job keep you away from home more than you would like? Leaving your pet home for long hours every day? This is a common dilemma for many pet lovers who don’t have the time to take proper care of their pet. Maybe your job keeps you away from home five to ten days out of the month, but the rest of the time you are home able to be the best pet parent.Maybe you can’t imagine your life without your dog, but you really get into a bind when those few days a month you are not there to take care of him. It is always hard to ask friends and family to dog sit because often they are busy or not as pet-friendly as you are. They may not enjoy watching your dog, so you don’t want to leave them with someone who doesn’t just absolutely love them. It is important to find the time or a boarding facility that will take as good a care of your dog as you do.
You don’t want to have to worry about your dog’s happiness while you are gone and this includes while they are at home. You want them to be comfortable and enjoy being where they are; doggy daycare, at the dog park, with a pet sitter. Getting your dog out of the house is a great way to get them to interact with other dogs and people.
Dogs also play a big part in our wellbeing. They get us out of the house, they help reduce stress and add positive vibes to our daily lives. Therapists have been known to prescribe pet therapy as a way to help heal and deal with depression. Dogs will love you more, unconditionally, than anyone in your life. It’s nice to know that no matter what you’ve done or how your day was, they will show you attention and affection with no judgment. With all of those physical benefits, employers have allowed pets in the workplace making it easier for owners to spend time with their pets. This can also reduce stress in the workplace and improve productivity. A happy workplace makes for a successful work environment. This has become a growing trend and has brought employees closer were most wouldn’t interact or get out of their comfort zones. Employees are more focused, willing to work later since they aren’t rushing home to let their pets out and save money on boarding fees.
Our pets do everything they can to make sure we know it’s all going to be alright. They welcome us with wagging tails, lots of licks, a few meows, and leg rubs. Even if you have another type of pet, such as a turtle, fish, or horse, they still make life better. Over 60% of Americans own a pet and it’s difficult to say ‘own’ when most of us see our pets as a family member. We love and care for our pets so much! We go as far as buying pet insurance for them, adding them to our will, spend thousands a year on toys, food, grooming, vet visits, and accessories. They mean everything to us.
